Taking Place Now at the Connecticut Science Center: ‘Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion’

One of the largest hands-on museums in the state, the Connecticut Science Center in the heart of Downtown Hartford is fun for the whole family. With over 165 exhibits to explore, there is something for every age.

There are over 10 permanent exhibits, including KidSpace, Forces in Motion, Sight and Sound, Exploring Space, Invention Dimension, Picture of Health, Sports Lab, Energy City, Planet Earth, River of Life, and a Rooftop Garden. Favorite activities include seeing dinosaurs up close and personal, getting in a space pod and exploring outer space, meeting new friends at the touch tank and critter corner, just to name a few. There is a fine balance between new-age technology and natural sciences for an all encompassing experience.

Beyond the permanent exhibits, the center hosts traveling exhibits, which right now is Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion. Many don’t realize da Vinci was much more than just a painter, and the exhibit brings his creations to life. You also don’t want to miss a movie in the 3D theater!

Admission to the Connecticut Science Center starts at $14.95 for youth and $21.95 for adults.
